What is Photofacial M22?
Photofacial M22 is a treatment that uses a machine to emit a special light called IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) to improve various symptoms.
IPL has the property of being absorbed by black and red pigments.By reacting to the melanin pigment in the epidermis layer, it fades a wide range of age spots, dullness, freckles, and acne scars. It also works on collagen in the skin, improving skin firmness, fine lines, and pores. The synergistic effect improves the tone of the entire face and creates clearer skin.It reacts with red blood cells and destroys capillaries, so it can be expected to be effective on red faces and red acne scars.By repeating the treatment many times, you can improve your overall skin problems.
Photofacial M22 is a medical device approved by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare. Compared to conventional photofacials, the number of light wavelength options has increased, and the light output can now be more precisely adjusted. This allows for more detailed treatment according to your concerns. The light is split into 1 to 3 waveforms, but the intensity of the split light is uniform (optimal pulse technology) to minimize damage and pain to the skin while maximizing the effect. In addition, it allows for speedy irradiation, so treatment can be completed in less time than before.

Photofacial M22's six wavelength filters

Photofacial M22 uses filters of different wavelengths to address a variety of skin concerns. There are filters ranging from 560nm to 755nm, each of which is effective for specific skin problems. This allows it to address a wide range of skin problems, including age spots, freckles, redness, and open pores. Each filter can be used according to the skin condition and treatment purpose, resulting in more effective treatment.
-
560nm
It is effective against noticeable blemishes and freckles, stimulates skin turnover, and evens out skin texture, helping to improve overall skin quality.
-
590nm
It is ideal for improving symptoms caused by vasodilation, such as redness of the face and rosacea.
-
615nm
You can choose the irradiation method according to your symptoms, such as targeting hemoglobin for redness in the face or redness from acne, or melanin for dark spots.
-
640nm
A mild whitening filter for dark skin. It can be used at a gentler output than normal, making it suitable for treating delicate melasma.
-
695nm
This filter penetrates deep into the skin and is effective against dermal wrinkles, enlarged pores, and fine lines. It activates fibroblasts and collagen fibers, and delivers energy directly to dermal melanocytes, which cause melasma.
-
755nm
Furthermore, the filter penetrates deep into the skin, increasing collagen production in the dermis and making the skin firmer. It also targets dermal melanocytes, which are the cause of melasma.
Mechanism by which Photofacial M22 works on stains and dullness
First of all, age spots and dullness are the manifestation of accumulated melanin. When the skin is stimulated by UV rays or friction, melanocytes present in the skin become activated and produce melanin pigment. The produced melanin peels off as dead skin and red skin due to skin turnover, but if melanin is produced excessively due to sunburn or turnover is disturbed due to aging, melanin tends to accumulate.
When Photofacial M22 is applied to the skin, it is selectively absorbed by the black melanin pigment, and the melanin is destroyed by the heat generated. The decomposed melanin is excreted as a waste product through skin turnover, floats to the surface of the skin, and gradually falls off.

Effects of Photofacial
IPL has a bactericidal effect on acne bacteria, and can be expected to improve and prevent inflammatory acne.
It can also fade the pigmentation of acne scars because it reacts with pigments, and it also destroys capillaries and fades the redness of acne scars.
-
Stains/freckles
Pigmented areas will be highlighted by the light of Photofacial M22, and within a few days, stains and freckles will fall off due to skin metabolism.
-
Wrinkles
Photofacial M22 is effective for fine wrinkles such as those around the corners of the eyes.By increasing water retention through collagen production, it plumps up the skin from within and reduces fine wrinkles.
-
Skin care/dullness
Unlike laser treatment, the biggest feature of Photofacial M22 is that it can irradiate the entire face and is effective at treating various skin problems at the same time.
-
open pores
The enlarged pores gradually become more noticeable as we age.Photofacial M22 tightens open pores and brings you smoother skin.
-
Redness from acne scars/red face
The light from Photofacial M22 damages the extra blood vessels visible on the skin surface, which is effective in eliminating redness. The dullness of your skin disappears and your skin becomes clearer.
